Anne Lubner Designs of Tarpon Springs Wins International Design Award

Window Fashion Vision magazine recently announced the winners of its 2009 Design and Workroom competition.  Anne Lubner of Anne Lubner Designs was awarded 1st Place in the Designer’s Debut category within the Envision Design Competition for her creative window fashion design.

The judges, as well as all of us here at Vision magazine, were greatly impressed by the quality of entries we received for this year’s competition, making the judging process even more difficult for our judges who had to select just 30 winning designs out of the hundreds submitted,” said Grace McNamara, president and CEO of Grace McNamara, Inc.  Judging was by the following panel of 10 industry experts and acclaimed designers:

  • Robin Baron of Robin Baron Design Inc. of New York City
  • John Buscarello of John A. Buscarello of New York City
  • Jamie Drake of Drake Design in New York City
  • Deb Barrett of Window Dressings in Illinois, speaker, author, coach, designer and trends specialist
  • Daniel J. Kerrigan of Lafayette
  • Ami McKay of Ami McKay Design in Vancouver, BC
  • Margie Nance, president and CEO of Custom Home Furnishings Academy and publisher of Drapery & Design Professional Magazine
  • Rita Orland, Wings Inc. Design and founder and president of International Furnishings and Design Association, Southern California chapter.
  • Vicki Posey of Legacy Design Group in Atlanta
  • Susan W. Schurz, Owner of Tavern Hill, a professional wholesale custom drapery workroom and an instructor at the Custom Home Furnishings Academy in Charlotte, NC

Anne Lubner named Charter Member of WFCP Advisory Board

(St. Paul, MN) The Window Fashions Certified Professionals Program (WFCP™) has recently created an Advisory Board and announces that Anne Lubner, Anne Lubner Designs of Tampa Bay, FL has been named a charter member. The charter advisors include experts from the interior design and window coverings industry and include areas of expertise in fabrication, window fashion design, redesign and staging, and feng shui.

“We are deeply grateful that Anne has accepted our invitation to join the WFCP Advisory Board,” said Grace McNamara, CEO of Grace McNamara, Inc. WFCP’s producer. “This appointment simply formalizes a long-term relationship and friendship. Anne has already contributed her time and expertise to assisting WFCP.”

Anne will be joining 8 other charter members on the WFCP advisory board for a term of 2 years.  In addition to numerous other duties, the primary role Advisory Board members play is offering valuable insights and guidance in developing our membership activities and benefits and assisting in an advisory capacity determine policy. The Advisory Board will conduct meetings and brainstorm for ways to make the window coverings industry more profitable and professional.
