Tween Room

This room was originally painted blue, and the lack of natural light made it feel dark and chilly.  The 10 year old girl who lives here said it made her feel blah.  She wanted a room that she’d feel happy in, and she wanted it to be wildly colorful.

We talked about her favorite colors and  patterns and what she liked to do in her room.  Playing on her Wii and computer and having sleepovers with her friends topped the list.   She approved the colors and patterns and now loves her room.  It’s bright and cheery, the perfect design for this spunky, outgoing tweenager.
